Blessings And Curses: Vision & Purposes

This blog is dedicated to teaching the people of God how they can walk in God's blessings and not under the curses of the law.
Many believers are being destroyed by the lies of the devil because of a lack of knowledge of God's word.

HOSEA 4:6
6 My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
"Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,

I also will ignore your children."

If we, the people of God, are suffering from the same curses that afflict the world, we are a poor testimony indeed to our Father's power and love.
If we are not blessed ourselves, how can we be a blessing to all the nations of the earth?
If we say that "Jesus is the answer" to our friends, and yet we live defeated lives, are we not being hypocrites and being dishonest?

No, God has great plans for each of His children.
He wants to make each of us great and give each of us a great name.
He wants to bless us beyond what we can ask or imagine, so that we will be a blessing to others.
And the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob does not lie.

GENESIS 12:1-3
1 The LORD had said to Abram,
"Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
3 "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Walking in God's blessings is very simple.
God has given to each of us the free-will to choose whether we want blessings or curses in our lives.
Much as He loves each of us, God our Father does not force His blessings on us.
In fact, if we choose to disobey Him, His hands are bound and He is hindered from blessing us.

DEUTERONOMY 30:19
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.
Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

Walking in God’s blessing is also a journey, a journey of learning the Father’s will, of receiving His grace to walk in obedience to His word, and of learning of the deceitful schemes of the devil.
It is a journey where we are totally dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit to teach us and guide us and help us to walk in the perfect will of God.

It is God's desire that all of His children choose life and live under an open heaven all the days of their lives.
It is God's desire for all His children to walk in all His blessings and be a blessing to others, thus bringing glory to His name.
It is God's desire for us to know His word, so that we can make the right choices everyday and fulfill His plans and destiny for each of our lives.
